Obstetric Emergencies is a comprehensive, skills-focused training program designed to improve the recognition and management of life-threatening complications during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period. The course emphasizes early identification, rapid team-based response, and practical decision-making to protect both mother and newborn.

Across 12 weekly modules, participants will review core maternal physiology, practise structured emergency assessment, and work through real-world scenarios covering hemorrhage, hypertensive crises, sepsis, shoulder dystocia, cord prolapse, trauma, anesthesia complications, critical care issues, and psychological crises. Each session integrates clinical discussion, communication strategies, and human-factors principles to strengthen confidence during high-risk situations.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to apply standardized emergency protocols, coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and deliver safer, more timely care in obstetric emergencies across a variety of healthcare settings.
